Which Artist?
How Do I Pick An Artist or Studio?
Firstly looks at an Artists portfolio either in the Studio or online if they have a site. Different Artists have different styles. Some specialize in certain areas. Make sure you like the look of the Artists work. Do their Tattoos have clean lines? Check there isn't a blue haze around the edges of the Tattoos - this can often indicate that the ink has been pushed too far into the skin. This can happen occasionally but if you see it regularly throughout their work they may not be your best choice. It's not always possible, but you could ask to see pictures of healed Tattoos. New Tattoos will often have a red haze around them. Healed Tattoos can show you the clean lines and smooth colouring & shading.
Talk to the Artist. You should be comfortable with them before, during & after your session.
Talk to other people who have been Tattooed. Word of mouth is often the best advertisement.
